MISSION

The Diversity Awareness Initiative for Students, DAIS, is an organization dedicated to strengthening our schools and ourselves, through increased knowledge, awareness, and respect for different cultures.  Its members are comprised of students from independent, public, and parochial schools, who wish to discuss and improve human relations within the community and society at large.

DAIS Executive Committee Meeting at Avenues: The World School

Determine the topic of discussion for the next DAIS general meeting! 

All students in grades 8 - 12 who are interested in being part of the Executive Committee (EC) and representing their school are welcome to attend the meeting. The Executive Committee is open to all students active in DAIS. We encourage anybody who is willing to make the commitment to participate. 

We will be planning the next general DAIS meeting. Come with creative, interesting and exciting topics of discussion. You and your input determine the type of topics and discussions for our DAIS meetings!

 

Directions by train- Take the C or E train to 23rd Street. Walk north on 8th Avenue to 25th St. Make a left onto 25th St. and walk west until 10th Avenue. The school is 10th Ave.,  on your left, between 25th and 26th Streets.
