MISSION

The Diversity Awareness Initiative for Students, DAIS, is an organization dedicated to strengthening our schools and ourselves, through increased knowledge, awareness, and respect for different cultures. Its members are comprised of students from independent, public, and parochial schools, who wish to discuss and improve human relations within the community and society at large.

Participants from all religions, races, gender expressions, socio-economic status and other social identifiers are welcome.

Volunteer for the 2026 DAIS Conference

Our 27th Annual Multicultural Student Leadership Conference will be taking place on Saturday, May 9, 2026. It will be at Nightingale Bamford School, 20 East 92nd Street, New York NY, from 11 AM - 11 PM. This all day event will feature registration with continental brunch, workshops and other activities, a talent show/open mic, dinner and a party and game room.

If you cannot make the conference, but still want to volunteer with DAIS, please fill out our General Volunteer Form.
