MISSION

The Diversity Awareness Initiative for Students, DAIS, is an organization dedicated to strengthening our schools and ourselves, through increased knowledge, awareness, and respect for different cultures. Its members are comprised of students from independent, public, and parochial schools, who wish to discuss and improve human relations within the community and society at large.

Topic of Discussion- Slow and Steady: Dissecting our perceptions of race

All students in grades 8 - 12, who are interested in participating in DAIS are invited to attend this meeting for discussion.

Directions by train- Take the 4, 5 or 6 train to 86th Street. Walk north on Lexington Avenue to 89th Street. Make a left onto 89th, walking towards Park Ave. The school is on this block on your left.
