MISSION

The Diversity Awareness Initiative for Students, DAIS, is an organization dedicated to strengthening our schools and ourselves, through increased knowledge, awareness, and respect for different cultures.  Its members are comprised of students from independent, public, and parochial schools, who wish to discuss and improve human relations within the community and society at large.

DAIS General Meeting at Brearley School

Topic of Discussion- "Institutional transphobia: what lens are you looking through?"

All students in grades 8 - 12, who are interested in participating in DAIS are invited to attend this meeting for discussion.

Directions by train- Take the 4 or 5 to 86th Street. Walk south on Lexington Avenue to East 83rd Street. Make a left onto East 83rd and walk east to the end of the street. The school is the last building overlooking the FDR and East River.
