MISSION

The Diversity Awareness Initiative for Students, DAIS, is an organization dedicated to strengthening our schools and ourselves, through increased knowledge, awareness, and respect for different cultures.  Its members are comprised of students from independent, public, and parochial schools, who wish to discuss and improve human relations within the community and society at large.

Topic of Discussion"I am not privileged, am I?"- The intersectionality of privilege.

All students in grades 8 - 12, who are interested in participating in DAIS are invited to attend this meeting for discussion.

Directions by train- Take the 2 or 3 train to 72nd Street. Switch to the 1 local train to 79th Street. Walk south on Broadway to West 78th Street. Make a right onto 78th. The school is between Broadway and West End Avenue.
