MISSION

The Diversity Awareness Initiative for Students, DAIS, is an organization dedicated to strengthening our schools and ourselves, through increased knowledge, awareness, and respect for different cultures.  Its members are comprised of students from independent, public, and parochial schools, who wish to discuss and improve human relations within the community and society at large.

Topic of Discussion- 'Violence To Fear, Fear To Violence: As the world becomes more hostile, how do we take care of ourselves?'

All students in grades 8 - 12, who are interested in participating in DAIS are invited to attend this meeting for discussion.

Directions by train- Take the 4 or 5 to 86th Street. Walk south on Lexington Avenue to East 83rd Street. Make a left onto East 83rd and walk east to East 83rd between East End Avenue and the FDR Drive. The school is on the right at the end of the block.

-OR- Take the Q train to 86th Street. Exit at 83rd Street and walk east on East 83rd St. to between East End Avenue and the FDR Drive. The school is on the right at the end of the block.
