MISSION

The Diversity Awareness Initiative for Students, DAIS, is an organization dedicated to strengthening our schools and ourselves, through increased knowledge, awareness, and respect for different cultures.  Its members are comprised of students from independent, public, and parochial schools, who wish to discuss and improve human relations within the community and society at large.

DAIS 8th Grade Meeting and Parent Orientation at St. Bernard's School

A meeting to introduce 8th grade students to DAIS!

An introduction and orientation session, as well as a chance to experience what it is like to participate in an exciting discussion session facilitated by some of our student leaders in DAIS.

** Adults who chose to accompany their students will have the opportunity to meet with some of our DAIS Board members, alumni, as well as the Executive Director, for their own introduction to DAIS.

Directions by train- Take the 4 or 5 train to 96th Street. Walk west on 96th street, to Park Avenue. Make a right onto Park Avenue. Walk north on Park to 98th St. Make a left onto 98th Street. The school is between Madison and 5th Avenues.
