MISSION

The Diversity Awareness Initiative for Students, DAIS, is an organization dedicated to strengthening our schools and ourselves, through increased knowledge, awareness, and respect for different cultures.  Its members are comprised of students from independent, public, and parochial schools, who wish to discuss and improve human relations within the community and society at large.

Participants from all religions, races, gender expressions, socio-economic status and other social identifiers are welcome.

“Chat, are we cooked?: Growing up in 2026”

Join us for a day of student led discussions on crucial issues of social justice, diversity and other topics important to teens. Additional activities include a talent show, dinner, a game room and a party! Meet and interact with other students from schools in the tri-state area, who want to make a difference and have an impact in their schools and communities! An empowering experience!

The conference is for all 8th - 12th grade students only.
