MISSION

The Diversity Awareness Initiative for Students, DAIS, is an organization dedicated to strengthening our schools and ourselves, through increased knowledge, awareness, and respect for different cultures.  Its members are comprised of students from independent, public, and parochial schools, who wish to discuss and improve human relations within the community and society at large.

Topic of Discussion- “Why do they have all the fun?”: Double standards and how they affect us.

All students in grades 8 - 12, who are interested in participating in DAIS are invited to attend this last general meeting for the school year for discussion.

Directions by train- Take  the 4 or 5 train to 86th Street. Take the 6 local to 96th Street. Walk south on Lexington Ave. to 92nd Street. Make a right and walk west on 92nd until you are between Madison and Fifth Avenues. The school is on the left.
