MISSION

The Diversity Awareness Initiative for Students, DAIS, is an organization dedicated to strengthening our schools and ourselves, through increased knowledge, awareness, and respect for different cultures.  Its members are comprised of students from independent, public, and parochial schools, who wish to discuss and improve human relations within the community and society at large.

Participants from all religions, races, gender expressions, socio-economic status and other social identifiers are welcome.

All students in grades 8 - 12, who are interested in participating in DAIS are invited to attend this last general meeting for the school year for discussion.

Directions by train- Take  the 4 or 5 train to 86th Street. Take the 6 local to 96th Street. Walk north on Lexington Ave. to 97th Street. Make a left and walk west on 97th. The school is between Lexington and Park Avenues on the right.
