MISSION

The Diversity Awareness Initiative for Students, DAIS, is an organization dedicated to strengthening our schools and ourselves, through increased knowledge, awareness, and respect for different cultures.  Its members are comprised of students from independent, public, and parochial schools, who wish to discuss and improve human relations within the community and society at large.

Topic of Discussion- ‘Pick Me, Choose Me, Love Me’: How desirability & need for validation affect us.

All students in grades 8 - 12, who are interested in participating in DAIS are invited to attend this meeting for discussion.

Directions by train- Take the 4, 5, or 6 train to 86th Street. Walk south on Lexington Avenue to East 85th Street. Make a left onto 85th Street and walk east until you get to East End Avenue. The school is on East End Avenue, between 84th and 85th Streets.

OR- Take the Q train to 86th Street. Walk south on 2nd Avenue to  East 85th Street. Make a left onto 85th Street and walk east until you get to East End Avenue. The school is on East End Avenue, between 84th and 85th Streets.
